The purposes of this study were to find out the nursing image and nurse nature of
public person and universal student in a area , to compare The nursing image with general characteristics and a practice or volunteer activity on hospital.
335 characters were applied to the analysis object of this study, from Sept ember 22 to
October 16 in 2000.
The variables for this survey were structured with 9 items measuring general
char acteristics, 29 items measuring the nursing image and 18 items for the determinants of
nursing image dividing into 6 categories, which were appearances, kindness, sincerity,
skills, knowledge and spirit.
In data analysis, SPSS WIN 8.0 program was used for frequency, percent, t - test and
ANOVA.
The results were as follows :
1) The high score it ems of Gener al Nursing Image were ’be professional’, ’do a valuble
and good job’ and ’be cleanness and neatness’.
2) The high score items of Attitude·Behavior Nursing Image were’ a style is neatness’,
to cope with emergency situation ’ and ’be organized and to carry out orderly ’ .
3) According to nursing image acquisition source and classify nurse and aidnurse, General Nursing Image had a significantly difference.
4) According to age, sex , education and classify nurs e and aidnurse, an appear ance element of Attitude·Behavior Nursing Image had a significantly difference. According to sex, education and hospital experience, a kindness element of Attitude·Behavior Nursing Image had a significantly difference. According to classify nurse and aidnurse, a sincerity element of Attitude·Behavior Nursing Image had a significantly difference. According to sex, hospital experience, nursing image acquisition source and classify nurse and aidnur se, a skills element of Attitude·Behavior Nursing Image had a significantly difference.
